Just received a reminder message from the USDA. This Friday, June 7, 2013 is the deadline to apply for crop losses in 2011 due to natural disaster. Many states had severe damage due to tornados, hail, and drought in high winds last season. In the past few weeks, severe weather has taken the life out of several communities in OK, MO, TX and SC.
The SURE program insures production will continue when the farmer is hit with a natural disaster and devastated with the loss. If you are using this program, we are sorry for your loss, and wish you a healthier growing season this year.
