JMB Feeders, LLC, a 14,025± head feedlot is strategically located 4 miles north of Potter, NE & I-80. The feedlot was built in stages from 1996 through 2001. There are 57 feeding pens made of pipe and cable with 9,350± linear ft of bunk space.  8” per head translates into 14,025± head capacity and pen size of 177± sq ft per head. Feed bunks are a combination of continuous pour bunk with 10′ aprons and pre-poured bunk with 6′ aprons. Livestock water in each pen is either Ritchey waterers with floats or Johnson continuous flow waterers with leach fields for overflow. 1,300± sq ft office building w/ 3 offices, reception/scale processing area, kitchen, etc. with the adjoining 10’ x 80’ FM platform scale w/ 120,000 lbs. capacity. The shipping, receiving, processing, and hospital area consists of the following:
1.) 30’ x 50’ hospital bldg, working alley, Silencer chute w/scales, 4 hospital pens; and 2.) One load out w/ single deck chute w/ processing alleys & holding pen & 5 receiving pens
The feedmill facilities include: 26,000± bu grain bin with 8,000± bu per hour leg, 42-inch dry roller mill with 1,500 bu soak tank, 3 overhead bins, and 1 liquid supplement tank. Wet distillers grain purchased from ethanol plants located in Bridgeport, Madrid, Sterling & Yuma.
