The process by which a parcel of land is measured and its area ascertained. The process of measuring land to determine its size, location, and physical description. An improvement Survey is the drawing done by a registered land surveyor showing the dimensions of a particular piece or real property, which shows the improvements, located on the property in relationship to the property itself.
