Drought

Drought occurs when precipitation is less than average for a lengthy period of time. The term is very subjective, and there are different interpretations of what constitutes a drought. Physiological drought occurs when the amount of precipitation is unable to adequately sustain endemic flora and fauna. Agricultural drought is declared when precipitation is inadequate to sustain the growth of agricultural crops.
